View threads from search list one after the other

When I look for unread posts and end up with the search list of x items, is there a way for me to look at each of the resulting thread one after the other?

Say I open the first, get finished reading it, perhaps comment, then having finished with that one, I want to go to the next (next is dependent upon sort order I would suppose) without going back to the search page in clicking on the next one? I'd like to have a "next unread topic" type button someplace. Or, more generally, next searchlistitem topic.

It's a good idea, but I don't know how much coding would be involved to do it. We'll have to wait for Dolby to chime in.

Yes, I was thinking of these forums. I wasn't actually asking for an implementation although I'd cheer such a thing. I was figuring I was being my usual blind self and not finding where it was.

Thanks for moving this to the suggestions and for being willing to consider a feature. I don't get much chance to just read the forums so the unreads just stack up. I end up looking over the titles and then marking them read because the back and forth is a PITA when there are so many.

It would probably involve a lot more work than it would be worth.

I just leave the New Posts page open in one tab, and then shift-click the "Newest unread post" icon next to each title to open it in a new tab. When I'm done reading, I close the tab, and open the next thread.

I also sometimes also just midde-click all the interesting "Newest unread post" icons to open them all in background tabs, and then hit "Mark forums read" to get rid of all of the uninteresting threads (I generally don't read threads about addons I don't use, or the random Youtube video posting threads). Then I have all the threads I want to read open in individual tabs, and can attend to them at my leisure.

I agree, it's probably too difficult, but it would be nice. I didn't actually mean to make a suggestion to add a feature.

Thanks for the ideas on opening all of the threads in tabs, marking everything read and then process them.

It's how I do it .... (x8 MMOUI sites) + (x9 'official' sites) + ...
