SpartanUI on a 1280x800 screen help

Would like to achieve the UI shown in the version 1 screenshots posted here :

The problem is I have a max resolution of only 1280x800 and therefor can't put the chat frames either side of the screen as shown, at least not without some modification.

Is it possible to remove 1 or both the square button panels? Also, is it possible to set the chat font to a size of 10pts? If this can be achieved I can use SpartanUI.

PS. I downloaded the v2.6.1 version and it doesn't appear to have the areas for the 2 chat frames?
