Question about today's patch?

My question is probally simple enough but here it goes.


During my time on the PTR before today's patch was released, all my mods were broken or just incompatiable (bare in mind here all my mods were 2.0 compatiable) , now is this a glitch on bliz's side or is everyone just not worried about it ?

All mine (2.0 compatible) say out of date, too.

Edit: Right after I posted this and checked my mods after logging into my user name, I realized you can check the Load out of date Mods in the addon panel. i don't know if it has any negative effects but I figured I'd post before i forgot =)

its not just the version number, some mods broke. monkeyquest (displays zones and quests as zones) and the petfeeder i use (alerts me, but no feeding) nothing with any load errors however to debug.

Happens every patch, it's the intended design. Blizzard wants authors to update to ensure compatibility, but many authors won't bother pushing out an update just for a TOC version change if their addon didn't change. It's a big ol waste of bandwidth in my opinion, and the addon sites have a hard enough time staying up on patch days. I won't bog them down with trivial updates on patch day, I'll only push out an update if my mod broke. That's why Blizzy put in "Load out of date addons", just understand that there's no guarantees when you check that.
