You can use pet to pull mobs trough the "phase" by standing on the zone change edge and well, doing your thingy. ^^

Doubt it's banable at all. :P

Well there is some quest in Uldum with elite mobs, phasing and good drops. But only if you don't finish that quest.

Kind of off the topic a little bit but, is there a way, to reliably detect if someone that is in your group is phased via the wow API?

I would guess so. In a group you see this blue dot when someone is not in the same phase.

Not sure if there are others, basically it means "he is phased" or perhaps "he is not in your phase"? One of the above.

I find it a bit annoying that good drop (or only drop) mobs often are found on one-time phases.

Personally, I'd love to be able to rewind to some of the phased battles, if only because they were so fun!
