Unit Frame Idea /Question

I was wondering if there was (or if anyone was interested in creating ;P) any mods that add class and pvp rank icons to the default blizzard unit frames. I would need them on the default user frames because I have other mods that use them. I would make it myself but I'm not much of a programmer and WoW's UI seems pretty complicated.

Wouldn't that be quite easy with Discord Unit Frames? Just create frames similar to the default blizz frames and then add those icons?
Or maybe it would just be easier writing an AddOn... (not sure...)
