minimalistic interface

I love minimalistic interfaces and low memory ui but i want to create something for my own. I have always downloaded youst addons but i want to create an ui now and i know what they always write take a look at others.

Well that is good too but where do you start off after that i dont even know where to begin.

Can anyone give me pointers and tips in the right direction??

Start on paper or in your head then move to Photoshop. OR just start in Photoshop.

You could always used OpenRDX to plan out your interface, it pretty much covers everything you're going to need to start out with. Chat frames, buffs, actionbars, unitframes (any type), and much more.
