World Map Unexplored

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, but I didn't see it. So I used to be able to open up Carbonite and it would show me all the parts of a zone I hadn't explored as a shaded part of the map. This made it really easy to have a toon wander around exploring all the areas for achievements. However now even when I have that check box checked the zones all look entirely the same. Any help would be lovely thanks.
