Raid bars and party pets

I posted this question earlier and believe it was in the wrong spot...so here goes for a second attempt

Last night went to do the weekly malygos....got into 3rd phase and every time I tried to click on one of my party members it wouldn't recognize them as a valid target....being a healer this didn't go over so well I'm sure it's probably something I've over looked...either way I need help
