Addons Gone Crazy!

Well, now we’re giving you a reason to go for it! You too can write a crazy mod that has no apparent “worth” other than just to make you laugh. And if it’s crazy enough, you’ll get rewarded for it! what is it about this ROFL addon section Cairenn? All what we have to do is to upload our addon to this section even if our addon is in another section right?

It wouldn't be in another section if it fit this contest (unless it was uploaded to the wrong category). The addon has to do crazy things, be funny, wacky, wild!

I feel much the same way. What can an addon do that's crazy? It's also subjective, but I'm sure there will be plenty to choose from. Browsing the category for the contest, some of them I feel are quite cool or ingenious, but few are really "crazy" in my book.

Part of the fun of the contest here is to be able to come up with the idea on your own, but I'd suggest looking through those already submitted to get your mind on the right track. Also, many of the good addon ideas I've ever heard were from non-addon authors! I've not yet had any thoughts as to something I'd like to enter, so I might be taking a pass. We'll see!

Well... I *wanted* to do Whac-a-mole Healing, wherein your party/raid members appear as moles rising up out of their holes; whack them with your heal hammer to push them back down, if they get all the way up, they'll escape! (Also known as, die).

But I didn't have anywhere near enough time for that.

I did, however, come up with an idea this morning, and that idea has been implemented and uploaded, awaiting approval. Assuming I uploaded it to the right section...

I made a "happy birthday" addon that you can install on your friends machine (or send it to them trough a UI compilation, .e.g.. be creative ;P) and surprise them. ^^

And only now do I think of writing SabotageLol, the AddOn which deliberately breaks every other AddOn in the ROFL category, leaving SabotageLol as the only qualified contender!
