Demote raid assistant?

In a raid, player will gain Raid Assistant status after the transfer of leadership if he was Raid Leader.
Is there a way avoid that, or at least a way to demote this player when receiving PARTY_LEADER_CHANGED event?

I saw /clearmainassist macro but performing RunMacroText() is protected.
