vert mod for WoW

Thinking of convert some stuff from EQ vert mod to Wow.

These are "beta" screenshots. I have like millions of ideas that i want to
implement in them due to the great possibility to customize everything.
But i have to start somewhere

NOTE:
vert mod i will base it on is v1.0 i think. In EQ i changed that one over
the years and added new stuff along. Just wanted you to know so you
dont think it's the vert 2.1 series.

I'm also new to wow ui so i have to get to "know" how I'm supposed
to do things. So please have patience. Also im trying to understand
other addons aswell and se if i can use some of their stuff in mine.
(Don't want to invent the wheel again)

EDIT 020523: This is going slow since i'm enjoying my time in wow playing.
If you want the alpha files just send me a msg. I will try mod them
little so you can move the window by yourself. Atm i have them non-
moveable and that will possibly be in a spot where you dont want it!

EDIT 020504: After spent couple of hours making them as an addon and
got it work so so. I decided to change the original files instead. Maybe
i will do them as an addon later...

Whee, this makes me happy. Vert was always my very favorite mod, but I haven't been able to figure out enough about the WoW UI to try to convert it myself. Great job, look forward to seeing the finished UI!

very cool, I look forward to seeing the finished product, though I think it was 2.0 series I used on EQ, still will be nice to see some veterans doing some interface skinning.

The Vert line of UI's were always one of my favorites. Glad to see someone trying to emulate it here. I look forward to seeing it.

I love the layout of minigroup but I miss the bars from EQ

I havn't done that much more on the UI atm due to that i wanna play the game. It just opened in Europe

Having a blast with my Paladin.

But i will continue do it as a "overwrite" UI as i wrote before. (Takes to much time and energy for me to make it as an AddOn atm).

Sorry for the lame question...But what is the difference between an Overwrite and an Addon? not sure what the difference is and i figured i might as well ask since if i don't i will never get the answer.

Love that mod in EQ, wondering when we can start seeing some ideas about what you are planning for this one.

With overwrite i mean that you have to overwrite the original file to make it work.

Addon is an add that you can add if you want but still has the old ui there.

you already can..

unlock chat settings in the interaface options menu..

then right-click the tab at the top and choose "unlock"

then move it around.

you can change the bacground, font size, color etc in that same menu.

when done just relock the setting in the interface menu, no need to relock down the window too (the one covers both).
