Druid Spellbook

is there anything that makes it less of a headache to use the spellbook on druids?

It can be a mess, but here's how I coped, I use Learning Aid. It doesn't sort in any way, but it brings up a window when you learn new spells, showing you what you've learned, so you can place things on your bars you know you need to and not have doubles everywhere. You can also go in to it's game options and click Search. This'll bring that window up again with all your spells / abilities that are currently not on your bars... of course always only using the highest ranks.

Fill a few spaces up on your bars, then close the window and click Search again, ensuring you've got everything covered. I'm 80 now, so no longer have to do much with my bars, but I remember levelling my Druid and going... wow that's a lot of stuff, lol.

Imagine how a Pally feels.

I've never had any trouble with it, neither as a druid or paladin.

Maybe there is a way to make an addon that will give you stance tabs or check boxes to filter help filter. Then when a specific stance is selected the spells that can be used in that stance are highlighted while others that can't be used 'fade out'. That way it works for Warrior, rogues, druids and all the other classes that have a stance. Anyone up to the challenge.

Remember that druids aren't restricted to the spells in their forms. You can cast a spell out of form, and the proper shapeshift would be made. There are lots of reasons why you'd want to moonfire from kitty..

Agree with the OP though that setting up the action bars is a bit of a mess, you can't see if a spell is bear or kitty without reading the tooltip or memorizing the spells.
