How to check server hops?

I know I can check my own realm but it doesn't change when I join a group hosted on another server.

How do you check the server you are currently on?

Thank you!

I have asked it sometime ago.

I think to find the server name is not easily possible.

The algorithm for deciding which server you transfer to is on a zone-by-zone basis. The first person that enters a zone flags their server as the host for the group. This flag is cleared after everyone leaves the zone. The API has no way to tell who's server you transferred to nor which server that is.

I'm asking because I saw it while playing with Server Hop addon. As far as I understand, now you only server hop when you are close to the leader of the group.

So, for example, if I join a group and I'm far away, I don't hop and the addon don't tell me I hopped. But if I''m close it tells me that I hopped and tells to which server.

In both cases I do not change the zone I'm in and I'm not moving anywhere.

So how does it do it? I can ofc run through the whole code and try to dig it out but I thought there is an easy logic behind it.

Blizzard never saw the need for this data to exist, so they don't give it to us.
