I'm sensing a huge misconception about file size being equivalent to memory usage...

I'm sensing something being said that has already been said multiple times. Yes, I want to reduce both, not because I care, but because the people where I'm distributing to care.

To all, another question:
Is it possible to get all libs ONCE and prevent having doubles in my UI? I have like 20 times AceGUI-3.0 as lib (161KB) which is about 3MB, and I also have more double libs, can't these be all united to one from which all addons call? I thought that was the function of a library at first instead of having functions 200 times
Yes, you can do this, but you'll either have to modify the TOC of every AddOn you're including, or get the -nolib version of each AddOn from Curse as well as the standalone version of the required libraries.

Another thing you need to be concerned about is permission: Many AddOn authors do not want their work to be included in a compilation UI - many of these are never maintained past their initial release, and even those which are sometimes have old versions of the AddOn which can lead to bogus bug reports and other maintenance nightmares.

Also some libraries use more memory when they are standing alone, Ace3 stand alone will have all libs loaded when you really don't need all of them.

Hey!
I'm bumping this old thread of mine to thank everyone that helped me. I'm nearly done with my UI, close to releasing it. From 120MB I went down to 300kB. I never expected such an improvement. Included is a screenshot of my current UI(the unitframes are still yet to be done though). Once again, thanks alot all!

Hey, sorry to bother you but do you have an ETA on when this is going to be released, as I think it's an absolutely great UI.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned this yet: Don't use any addons!
