Rofl, not sure if its possible unless each element in the addon can be scaled when fitted into the infopanel.

Woohoo for dirty old men!

My kinds constantly accuse me of being a dirty old man. It really pissed me off. I'm tired of telling them I'm not old. ~lol~

On a more serious note, since I don't play a shammy, this is confusing the snot out of me.

Can someone please explain to me in painful detail what each of the first four visible buttons is telling the player and what happens if you click it? Does the call of the * spell drop all four of the visible buttons on that bar (excluding the last button which is the recall) or does each of those buttons drop all four of the totems that are in the little popup bar you see when you click the arrow for that button? Can you rearrange which totems are on the popup bar? Or do you rearrange the four totems that are always visibile.

I am *so* confused. ~lol~

Yes, clicking the Call of Air, Water or Fire buttons will summon all 4 totems allocated to that totem bar at once forr the total amount of mana for all 4 totems and on a single cooldown.

Okay... so the first button on the bar is a "call of {some element}" which will drop all four totems that are in the bar that opens when you click the up arrow on that button. Correct?

Can you change which four totems are in that popup bar? What if you only want to drop one totem? Or do you always drop 4?

Each Call of ... bar is predefined with a set of totems. Each totem element has a an up arrow where you can select the totem to use for that element. Once you have the four you want to use for say Call of Air selecting Call of Water will change the totem bar to reflect the ones allocated to Call of Water. Rinse and repeat until all 3 Call of ... totem bars are set up.

It looks like, although I can't remember trying it, that you can click on the individual totem bar buttons to cast that totem on its own like normal. Clicking on the Call of ... button will summon all 4 totems at once.

For example:

Call of Air Bar
Fire - Totem of Wrath
Water - Totem of Mana Spring
Air - Wrath of Air
Earth - Strength of Earth Totem

If you wanted to say change the Earth totem to use instead Tremor Totem you would click the up arrow on the Earth button and select the tremor totem. It would then drop that totem with the other three when you click Call of Air.

So in essence you could set up a totem bar for a healing run and have all the good stuff to promote healing and defensive measure .. and then another one that boosts damage overall. Unfortunately you are stuck with just 3 options but I am sure there is a way for addons to increase that with a totem bar type list that allows you to set each bar to a particular choice. Until I see the functionality involved there though I don't know how possible that will be.

From the 3.2 API Change Forum the following was listed by someone that grabbed the details. Not sure how accurate or complete it is.

MultiCastActionBarFrame.lua
self:RegisterEvent("UPDATE_MULTI_CAST_ACTIONBAR");
New event

ShowMultiCastActionBar();
LockMultiCastActionBar();
...
UnlockMultiCastActionBar();
HideMultiCastActionBar();
...
ChangeMultiCastActionPage(self.page);
...
SetMultiCastSpell(ActionButton_CalculateAction(parent.parent.actionButton), self.spellId);
...
local slot = _ComputeMultiCastSlot(parent:GetID());
New API (widget?)

knownMultiCastSummonSpells[index] = (IsSpellKnown(spellId) and spellId) or nil;
New API: IsSpellKnown(spellId)

The first button is the three calls air fire and water, clicking the up arrow on that button you can cycle them which will change which totems are displayed on the next four buttons. This way the user can define three sets of totems which can be used with one button press in a single GCD. You can also drop single totems by clicking on any one totem. Seeing the way its been implemented it looks pretty sweet works like most of the popular totem mods, the only thing that seems to be missing is timers which Im sure can be built into the button if not there already. Anyone know how you change the totems that are displayed is it a drag and drop from your spell book? or is there an expanding bar for each button?

doh didnt see those in the ss was too busy drooling over the bars But that would be the same as what we have now where it shows up in the buff section right? I was hoping for something on or above the buttons themselves

Ah, not used standard buffs in ages. Thought they were in the upper right not under the unit frame.

lol neither have I you may even be right but if that was the case then these timers should be built into nui's unit frames or even the hud like death knight runes. Whadda ya think Scott that doable?

The only issue I see tying them into the HUD like the DK runes is that shammy's do cast while DK's do not. So the runes are okay using the casting bar location, it could get messy for a shammy though.

That looks possible as they do seem to be like normal buttons just pre-programmed with shammy specific spells.

More info on the UI and Macros forums for the shammy stuff:

The totem bar is mapped to action button IDs 133 to 144, and is split into three "pages":
* page 1 is cast by call of fire (133, 134, 135, 136)
* page 2 is cast by call of water (137, 138, 139, 140)
* page 3 is cast by call of air (141, 142, 143, 144)

Buttons 133, 137, and 141 are limited to fire totems
Buttons 134, 138, and 142 are limited to earth totems
Buttons 135, 139, and 143 are limited to water totems
Buttons 136, 140, and 144 are limited to air totems.

The base layout of the bar is:
call of {fire|water|air}, fire totem slot, earth totem slot, water totem slot, air totem slot, call of earth

And finally .. from http://pastebin.com/m21cf6fd2 a link on the official forums by someone tracking the source diffs, there is this section

--
969.> -- Totems
970.> --
971.>
972.> MAX_TOTEMS = 4;
973.>
974.> FIRE_TOTEM_SLOT = 1;
975.> EARTH_TOTEM_SLOT = 2;
976.> WATER_TOTEM_SLOT = 3;
977.> AIR_TOTEM_SLOT = 4;
978.>
979.> TOTEM_PRIORITIES = {
980.> EARTH_TOTEM_SLOT,
981.> FIRE_TOTEM_SLOT,
982.> WATER_TOTEM_SLOT,
983.> AIR_TOTEM_SLOT,
984.> };
985.>
986.> TOTEM_MULTI_CAST_SUMMON_SPELLS = {
987.> 66842,
988.> 66843,
989.> 66844,
990.> };
991.>
992.> TOTEM_MULTI_CAST_RECALL_SPELLS = {
993.> 36936,
994.> };
995.>
The latter thankfully being the regular totemic call spell id. So, I would take it that the 3 before it are for the call of air, water,fire etc (not necessarily in that order).

Okay, had a spare few minutes so thought I would at least see if it was possible to squeeze the caddy into the info panel.

Unfortunately my first attempt failed to do anything other than create the infopanel with nothing in it.

Edit: Hmm then again, the latest download of totem caddy without my new plugin doesn't display or show up any options. But then this is a level 1 shammy I am testing it on.

Well, with a 80 shammy this is what it looks like having it anchored to fit the frame.

I don't think the TotemCaddy's author thought to anchor the different frames to a single frame

But maybe I'll be able to re-anchor them somehow so that they work properly and look like it should be there

Here's the screen shot.
