Need help with my UI

Hey all

I have been using my own UI's for awhile now (small note here - just a collection of mods i accumulated and customized abit to meet my expectations and needs not my own made mods or anything >< ).

But every time i need to update - its a real trouble.

I decided i want to try and make my UI fully update able using WoWAceUpdater.

I need help tracking down some replacement mods for the ones i use, ive managed to find quite alot already, just need some help finding good ones for the rest, and since you guys know pretty much all of them, i figured id ask here :P


So here's the list of mods i need to replace (small side note- i have 4 lvl 70 toons, so its a lot of mods, each one uses different mods :P ):

kk thats the list, i know alot of it wont have a replacement but im hoping for some positive results :P
Now you know why it gets abit hard to keep up-to-date :P

Just use WoWUIUpdater or the other one on WoWAce in the Updaters section.

Or you can set it up so that you get emailed every time something on your wowi favorites list gets updated.

Or, you can do what Slakah suggested and use an updater that pulls from all of the major sites.

Limiting yourself to only what is on WAU is just that - limiting yourself.

Just a question about WIU.

It says you have to select which addons to update from wowinterface.

Is there a way to tell which ones i should put on this list? Cause some of my addons are ace (Use WAU obviously) some are from curse.

How do i know which to use with which updater.

(No i dont remember where i get them all )

open Wowaceupdater and write down all the addons it updates, then go to Wowinterface updater and cancel them there...

the only problem with this advice is that WoWI will always get you "release quality" downloads. WAU will can get you potentially buggy beta quality releases. authors using the WoWace SVN will often upload their major releases to major sites, but make small updates on wowace that can potentially fix bugs and introduce new features, but also introduce new bugs.

not necessarily advising against it, just stating that you need to use WAU with that understanding.

I downloaded swstats into my game and when I activated it , I was given the message "dependency missing". The missing dependency was sw_stats, how and where do I find this addon? I already have fubar 3.0 loaded but i still get the message fubar is missing. Is there a major difference that the game does not recognize between fubar and fubar 3.0? I really want to use the stats but can't due to this error. Could someone tell me how to fix this please.

I would avoid SW_Stats TBH.

Most people have moved onto Recount

I personally use Violation

However Recount will provide more information and I am considering switcing.

Sw_Stats is so last year

Oh and talking about updaters. I recently tried to update my Ui (i have been hesitant for apparently wellfounded reasons.)

So i made sure to back up my interface folder and updated all with WAU and i got this:

So i retrieved my backups and continued with my life.

Anyone know why this happened? or how i can resolve this when the next major patch blows up my UI?
