sound isnt working right?

for some time now ive noticed i dont hear anything except background music.
and when im in battle if i cast something, i can hear the after effects, i can hear the npcs taking damage. and thats about it.
idk whats going on /:

Download Volumizer - you may have some sounds turned off that you aren't aware of. Just type "/vol" from the game to get a control panel.

Of course, you could also check the in-game sound settings but I'm not above a shameless plug.
