Addon for NamePlates

Hello, I would like to create NamePlates addon for classic/TBC with Shadowlands NamePlates
The rest of the addons are not suitable, I would like to create a simple addon that makes TBC/Classic NamePlates look similar Shadowlands NamePlates

Shadowlands NamePlates looks something like this: https://imgur.com/IYUBVvd

Also here SantaUI, but I would like to get an addon without SantaUI, because it is already on my TBC, so i need only retail NamePlates for TBC

If you mean the default blizzard nameplates those are not special and have zero custom options just different textures.

You can just use texture replacements for your nameplates like: these

Ty, but can the original Blizzard textures (retail) be used? Where can I get them and how to make them for TBC?

I found the textures i needed and put them, everything works, but the question is - how to remove what is circled in green (old textures) and the level display? https://imgur.com/a/MhqYwgP

You can find out the texture name by /fstack and mouseover ingame.

In this case its probably a left over border, so you need to add a sizing one or delete the texture file.

You can also add a empty bordertexture to remove it.

You already put the textures in your Interface folder so you just need to find the border texture (.blp file) and delete it or add a different one.

If you dont want to use a border u can just add an empty file with the same name to hide the default one.

If you have trouble finding and replacing textures you should probably go with an simple nameplate addon who does the same thing with some extra QoL options.

I suggest you to go with nplates 2.0

it customizes the default nameplates and is probably the most light-weight nameplate addon out there.

This (level, name) is not a texture and you can't customize further without using scripts or addons.

The level on/next to the nameplate is not a default setting and I dont know what addons you are using but it simply doesn't exist with the default retail nameplates.

If you play classic WoW you have to use a script(macro) or code(addon) to hide it.

I don't play classic anymore and I would still suggest you to take the addon or another nameplate addon that gives you the options to change those things.
