Template Error

With the new patch I am not able to check my professions i am getting this error....UI Panel Template.lua....this is in the Framexl folder...

Please Help!

Aye, this is one of the problems with today's patch. If you take a look at the main page of the site, you'll see a link to a download by Vika. It is a temporary work around, under the mod authors get a chance to get their mods all updated.

i checked vika's given site for framexml error too but have no clue on wat to do pls pls help

Copy the text to a text editor (notepad works fine). Save to your desktop. Change the name from UIPanelTemplates.txt to UIPanelTemplates.lua and then copy it into the folder that Vika lists.

I also did that same thing as above.... just got another error - Addons/TradeSkillFrame/TradeSkill. I don't know if this is cause i'm using a mac or if i just did something wrong. plz plz plz help

OKay first off I use some version of the insomniax build. I get that error when i try to craft so I figured the issue was in the TradeSkillFrame Mod. SO there it is in the AddOnns/TradeSkillFrame directory. Search the following two files for this.

Files:TradeSkillFrame.lua, CraftFrame.lua

Look For This:

FauxScrollFrame_Update(TradeSkillListScrollFrame, numTradeSkills, TRADE_SKILLS_DISPLAYED, TRADE_SKILL_HEIGHT, TradeSkillHighlightFrame, 293, 316 );

This is the questionable function call mentioned by vika on the main page. Per that suggestion I change it to the following;

FauxScrollFrame_Update(TradeSkillListScrollFrame, numTradeSkills, TRADE_SKILLS_DISPLAYED, TRADE_SKILL_HEIGHT, nil, nil, nil, TradeSkillHighlightFrame, 293, 316 );

I think this is javascript so stuff like case is probably important. I am NOT competent to hack this, but it seems to work for me, and seems to be pretty straightforward. Perhaps this will get it going for a few until the pros take over.

my only problem is wen i click on my professions ...it list as blank then a pop up shows that says framexml blah blah blah...pls reply if any1 has figured this out

The TradeSkillFrame Mod is also known as Pinky's Enhanced Trade Skills.

I have a rewrite written up mostly done, and its in the beta section here, you could delete that folder and install mine instead. Also Killlog is going to be vulnerable to this bug until they update.

Are you referring to the one by Vika, posted on the front page?

If so, go to ../World of Warcraft/Interface and create a new folder FrameXML. Put the file in there.

Hi i have a Problem with the programm Flexbar Version 1.401. I have read the front page to make a order with name FrameXML and i have save the prog from the frontpage into the file with name UIPanelTemplates.lua

But its work not right. When i take an enemy and i will fight i become this messages: (string" Interface\AddOns\FlexBar\FlexBar_HelperFunc..."):588: Usage: UnitIsEnemy(" unit"," otherUnit")

I come from German and i have the german version can one people help me pls my english is not so good also please so easy to go..

Unfortunately, the "fix" on the front page isn't any good for the FlexBar problem. Give me a couple minutes, I'll see what I can find on the Blizz forums about this one, I know I've seen posts about it.

I know that you can't post on the American Blizzard forums, but I do believe you can still read them, correct?

If the fix there doesn't work, or if you can't even read it in the first place, post again and we'll see what we can do to help.

I tried the option that BIGDUKE suggested in the two files mentioned and I got an error on game entry, but Tradeskill menus function. So, i will keep it as is until the pro's make the changes. THanks to all and BIGDUKE
