You were right. Took my iMac into the local store. They had a hard time diagnosing the problem as either video card overheating or logic board. They were nice enough to go the more complete route and replaced the whole logic board. I say nice because I had only 20 days left on my 1 year warranty. Cost to me $0. Cost if I had not had warranty in effect $700+. Ouch. Working on getting the extended warranty to 3 years now. :-) Fleabay for approx $100.
