I feel like such an idiot, but i am still struggling.
I get spammed with index field castbar a nil value.
Can someone with intelligence look over the code?

The post calls are:
castbar:PostCastInterruptible(unit)
castbar:PostCastNotInterruptible(unit)

The self is the cast bar here, not the unit frame as your code suggests. Change self.Castbar to self in those two functions and it should work fine.

When implementing PostCast functions, the first parameter is self. this is a reference to the castbar element, rather than the entire unitframe.

You are in effect trying to reference self.Castbar.Castbar.Text, which does not exist.
