Popbar commands don't work in chat window

I'm trying to use Popbar as a separate addon (outside of Cosmos), but can't get any of the slash commands to work in the chat line. Other addons seem to have the same problem for me. How do i get these commands to work? Is there a configuration option in WoW to enable these commands?

Try deleting your chat-cache.txt file in your WTF folder. That may fix it, but I'm not going to promise.
