Tar addon search

hello everyone... i'm looking for an addon if theres one out there. an addon that when you do /tar or /target, a tom tom arrow will point you to the direction of what you are targetting. if theres no such addon, is there someone at least making one up?

It's not possible to get the coordinates of an NPC at all, which would be needed for a TomTom-type arrow.

For players, you can, if they're on the same faction as you, in your group/raid/guild, and are running an addon that broadcasts their coordinates. Very limited in use.

its a good thought tho, it would certainly help when youre in a crowded city to do a /tar on someone and it points you to their direction. would certainly be helpful rather than inviting them to grp in order to see their dot on the minimap or map.

As Vladinator just said, in 4.1 they are adding minimap dots for targets and focus so at that time it may be possible, or you could just look at your minimap.

It still won't be possible in 4.1 because addons have no access to the minimap blips.

so in other words, use blizzards minimap. but the idea of having a tom tom arrow to point you out to your target would be best. i guess beggers cant be choosers.

would it not be possible to have an arrow inside the minimap, you know them silver like ones on the edge, for this?

You CAN do this for folks in your party. Get the latest alpha of TomTomTargetArrow, as the release version on Curse hasn't been updated for 4.x.

another thing a /tar addon can be useful for is during bg's, tar the opponent and arrow point its direction, but i guess this is impossible for an addon to be made.
