Update frame content

Hi everyone, I'm creating an addon for our guild and was able to create a frame with buttons to simulate tabs and added content depending on the button that is clicked, the thing is that the content is filled after login or reload and let's say that I leveled up, the frame shows the level I was when it loaded so it's not "real time" when the minimap icon is clicked and opens the frame, is there a way to update the content of the frames everytime the minimap is clicked? Or some sort of create/destroy so everytime the minimap icon is clicked it rebuilds the frame with the updated content?
