Yeah exactly. Mine didn't work until I updated my directx

Does anyone has a problem with this bloom effect after patching the game today ?, well i did , i try everything i could uninstall addons, repair my WoW and still got some violation fatal critical error!!! anyone know has any ideas if this it's actually a violation ?

just ran direct x updater, and also tried the posted files...wow crashes on startup....

Any ideas. I am curious to check this out.

Just retried everything...

Restart after the DX update. Even if your pc doesnt prompt you to. Then install the bloom files and it should work.

Yes, step one: run the dx update.
step two: Reboot
Step Three: install the bloom files.
Step four: start wow and emjoy.

The servers are down but you can see it on the dragon screen.

I tried every step you did and still crashing my WoW
The worst part of this is , that i can't stand Wow w/out the bloom effect , looks so stupid ; ;

Just had the opportunity to log in. The only change to wow i made was to update a chant addon. I have been able to log in with no ill effects from the HDR files provided above.

Yeah looks like the Bloom/HDR its not making me crazh because i uninstall every addon and the bloom files and my WoW crashes w/ultra settings in dalaran when i never had that problem b4
GTX 290 OC x2 are my gfx's so i have no clue whats causing this . . .

I downloaded Ferous' bloom mod files and Taryble's missing dlls from this topic a few days ago and they're working just fine for me.

As long as they make no changes to WoW's engine, patches don't matter for the bloom effect to work.

I've been using the same bloom mod continually since I first found out about it on the MMOC forums quite some time ago - altho' I did swap to the modified .ini file provided by Ferous.

It's been working well for me on every version of WoW since last December.

humm, when 3.3.5 hit the servers my WoW started to crash while using it. didnt use your download tho, maybe it'll work, thx anyhow^^

Hello

The mod "Bloom Effect" from "ENB Series" only works with DirectX9. There is only a d3d9.dll in the ZipArchive. Is there a possibility to get it work with DirectX11 too? Maybe another .dll file?

The creator of the ENBSeries customizable DLL would have to create a new DX11 version of the DLL. I've found no information about the author updating it, sadly (I believe there was a DX10 version he was working on, but I haven't heard anything on it either).

anyone care to share how to turn off wow's own bloom effect in cataclysm?. atm water turns my whole screen white ;P. otherwise bloom is looking quite nice, havnt tested it extensivly but i hope blizz will add it soon!.
