More Options Questions

I keep spamming these boards with options questions, I guess I'm missing the intended function of an option vs what I'm interpretting the option doing.

My question of the day, when I press 'm' to maximize my map, it is zoomed way in, and I'd prefer it to be zoomed far out. I have 'unchecked' center on zone when maximizing because i like my arrow to be centered on the map, and by unchecking this, I now how this zoom issue. What option combination do I choose to have my map zoomed out when maximizing?

Also: suggestion, some tooltips over the options explaining precisely what they do. I think there's just an interpretation issue with the terminology used.

When Center on selected zone is off, the map window simply gets bigger and centered on the screen, it does not change the zoom level. There are no other options for that.

Tooltips would be nice, but it is not something we have the time to add.
