Red face impossible OOBE - shadowpriest actionbar problem

HI
Probably this is a simple problem to solve.
I have a "vanilla" installation of the latest RDX core & all other addons
i installed the OOBE impossible

When i change stance to Shadowform on my priest, the actionbar disapears...

the Custom Definition on the actionbar is:
[bar:2] 1; [bar:3] 2; [bar:4] 3; [bonusbar:3] 4; [bonusbar:1,stealth] 8; [bonusbar:1] 6; [bonusbar:5] possess;

When in non shadowform all is well, when in shadowform, the actionbar hides? My keybinds for the spells (DefaultUI keybinds) however works.

Any help appreciated

Hi there,

One thing I'm really still not familiar with is the actionbar states, if DefaultUI is working I would use it, I'm still actually trying to figure it out myself.

sigg or dgrimes might be able to help if you sent either of them a whisper, or if they decide to respond here by giving you a custom state - I think sigg would have one as he IS a priest. O.o

Yes, the setting is:

Begin Action Bar Buttons ID = 1
Max Action Bar Buttons = 40

I'm thinking maybe I should break it up into smaller bars since there apparently is so much trouble with one big bar

Yeah the bar can only have 12 buttons, or the states get offset and things to screwy. State one is 1-12 if it is set to 12.. or 1-40 if you set it to 40. So State 2 becomes 41-80. Which plays havoc with forms, stances, and vehicles.

Bar States ?

Could somebody give some more insight onto what these 'Bar State' settings in the ActionBar editor are actually meant to be used for ?

I've layed out bars, being careful to not overlap buttonID's between bars, and everything appears to be in order. I can't perceive any use for these different state settings.

I understand the nomenclature for bars:offsets as explained but can't grasp how to actually put this feature to use within my UI ?

I play a priest mainly so perhaps I lead a sheltered life ?

Yes, you have a sheltered life That's "stance" feature for classes where current action buttons change depending on "stance" you are (warriors, druids, rogues etc). Standard blizz feature.
With addons you can make your own conditionals to expand standard behavior.

Stance Dance

Does this mean that using the state settings, I could create multiple action bar art frames for buttons 1-12 depending on stance ?

If so, I have some additional questions.

How would the art frame look ? Would you put multiple action bars in with the same button ID's (say 1-12) with different stance settings in the art frame object ?

An example of how the settings would look for 'stance 2' would be helpful.

As a priest, I did have to re-do my bars (once) to account for switching in and out of shadowform but I didn't need to do anything to my RDX windows to account for this.
