How to add party targets ?

Another question

I wanted to had the targets of my party fellow to the "party frame" but did not succeed and I don't see the way to do it.

It seems that the party frame is based on the "party/raid set" and all variable and adornment refers to it.

What is the strategy to do it ?
Shall I try to find a "target" for the party member and the variable windows and use sub-frames ?

Or shall I try to do another set based on "party targets" and try to match it to each party member ?

thanks a lot for your time and dedication for this awesome add on, by the way (and thanks to venificus for creating the foundations and all the contributors along the years)

Still scratching my head on this one

First thanks a lot for the answers to my other questions

I am still looking for a way to see the targets of my party member (or the target of any unit frame).

The way I see it, a window has a "subject", be it a single unit or a set of unit, and all "decorations" pertains to it, like "qualifications" of that subject.

I looked for a "target" qualification that would allow me to navigate to such target and then decorate that sub-frame but to no avail.
Since the editor is contextual I may have missed it but I have a hunch what I look for is not in the spirit of the current design.
For instance, castbar are not implemented as a subframe "decoration" of the unit frame but as a self standing frame with a subject of "player". So "following up" links (target, targetTarget and so on) does not seem possible, is that right ?

That Would be a shame since many things I have in mind depends on such capability, so I must be wrong.

I also envisioned to build a "targets set" that I would have visually positioned right in front of my party frames but I was not able to build such a set of "targeted units" and nothing guarantees that the two sets (targets and party members) would be in the same order, beside the last one would contain my player target too.

Any idea ? somebody to set me on the right path the RDX way ?

Thanks a lot.

There are two methods.

First methods :
In the window, Replace Design feature by AssistsFrame feature

Second methods :
In the window, Replace headergrid secure assists feature

There is a window call maintank in the wowRDX package.

Best regards

Thanks I'll look into it but that you mean to replace the "main data source/subject" of the window ?

That mean I can have a window with the party member and a window with the targets (assist ?) of the party members but can I have a window with the party member and THEIR target as an element of the "party member unit frame" ?

I'll try to do my homework

thanks a lot

I strongly recommend the second solution.

The first solution will be deprecated.

It should also be noted, that sometimes people want to see the target of all party members, not just assist targets. Right now, off hand I can't think of a way to display this.

Sigg, do you know if nameList on secure group headers will work with party1-target, etc? If so, I suppose you can use a nominative set, with party1-target, etc, in the set.

Or actually, perhaps a new roster type that goes along RAID, RAIDPET, etc, called TARGETS.

A new target feature that goes with raids would be AMAZING.

sorry not possible. namelist must contains your party or raid member name.
and it is not possible to create a roster target.

boss and arena are possible, because they have a uid (boss1 to boss4, arena1 to arena 5)

may be in the future, Blizzard will create target1 to targetX. that would be fantastic.

To create the raid targets, use the secure layout frames.

the arena layout is coming soon.
also working on the arena target and boss target frames.
