getting started

Hi, could anyone please point me in the right direction of a tutorial, or explain how to simply edit an existing frame. Like the default WoW Action bar. I would like ot know how to just remove the art from the sides or move the buttons around. Can anyone help me out?

Not sure what's here as far as FAQs and such (I check in here regularly..... when not playing WoW... which means not as often as I should) but http://www.wowwiki.com has the best references online AFAIK
