Unable to see Friends in Carbonite

Sense I've updated to 3.2.0.0, I haven't been able to see friends who are also using carbonite on the map. I've updated to 3.2.0.1 recently and that hasn't helped.

I wasn't sure if it was because they were running Version 3.1.3 or if its a bug in 3.2.0.1. I figured it would be best to post this here so someone could throw an answer my way. I did some searches for the answer, but couldn't find anything.

From the 3.2 change list:
Improved player status communication:
Players need Carbonite 3.2+ to see each other on map.

They need to update their Carbonite, which they now have to do anyway due to the patch.
