You're thinking of another mod I'm guessing? __VirtualPlates is fine. I doubt AVR will get broken, it would be a pain to do it cleanly for one.

I thought Blizzard attempted to nerf _VP, but they haven't crippled the depth API any more since then. Maybe that first change to GetDepth was a very coincidental "feature" of the PTR.

As for AVR, it could be broken if camera CVars weren't accessible any more. I really hope they embrace it instead though, and give us a real camera API. There are lots of possibilities for new mods, but issues with vehicles/transport ships/cameras clipping walls/no Z-axis hinder things a bit.
