I guess that's what is running through my pea-brain the most right now. Viewing the Player_Entering_World event from the end user's perspective it appears that there really ISN'T a set pattern there. Most of the time it seems to load like this; player appears, ui appears (sometimes in a different sequence, ie bars, uf's, minimap appearing) graphics fill in. But I've seen the ui appear first and player last too.

I would think that Blizzard would have to establish a set pattern in order to maintain stability, but it doesn't appear to be there yet.

Ok, I've got a huge headache and steam is coming out of my ears now, so I guess I'd better stop now.

In fact, the PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD event is one of the last if not the last of about 6 events that trigger. ADDON_LOADED is triggered first once blizz has loaded the addon's saved variables. Several other events are triggered in between with some in a set order and others seemingly not. However, the ones that don't run in a certain order seem to be the ones you have to watch for before you use certain elements of the interface rofl.

LOL i would love to get into the Beta but heres my luck, True story by the way, Get a friend to start playing again 2 month ago he goes on vacation and gets a Beta key same day been on beta ever since lol. If i only knew how to program addons been trying to make one but it just doesnt seem to be working out right.
think i need to grab a book or something.

Edit: I'm not begging for a key, just think its a funny story and maybe a few pointers for addon development - o and i have horrible luck

hmmm seems like more and more ppl gets the Beta =( , im happy for them.
iv played since vanilla and never got a beta, well with my luck im prolly no.15 out of 14 delivered cataclysm special editions when they arrive.

well have fun to u all that had the fortune to get the Beta key´s.

Apparently addons are gonna get the go-ahead as from next beta patch:

I wish i was one of the lucky ones that got put into the cataclysm beta. And I wish I knew how to make addons so I could get one of the keys from wowinterface LOL.

Indeed! I've been missing nUI in Cataclysm so much! It's like a totally different experience with/out it.

Anyway Spiel... if you need anything tested in the beta, please do let us know. I'm sure a lot of people will be willing to help out!

I'll be hollering... as soon as I can, I'll be cutting a version of nUI6 for the Beta, then I'll finally be able to start moving nUI6 forward again (there's too many changes in the beta for me to be able to do much more with nUI6 in 3.3.5 which is why I've been so bad about more updates)

I should hasten to add that there will be no nUI5 version for Cataclysm and I doubt there will be any more nUI6 versions for 3.3.5

That's not unexpected to be honest.

No idea how much the api changes from lich to cata, but I suppose it;s a good guess that most mods will be broken and unusable for some days, larger mods for weeks/months..
