We are happy to announce that our baby MMOUI Minions were born a little while ago and, although they still need a bit more training before they are fully housebroken*, are now big enough to be adopted!

MMOUI Minion: A free, eager-to-please little monster lackey of your own, with enough sense to stick to orders! Minion can handle all the 'work' assigned, letting you get back to the 'serious business' of playing your game sooner. Not only that, it's able to learn how to work with other sites that you use if they've set up Minion-training programs of their own.

From AddOns and News to Database Submissions and more, Minion is happy to serve!

Please note: Since this is a Beta release, we fully expect that there will be some bugs and you should too. This is not a finished product. Please be prepared to deal with the possibility of problems, or wait until we release the finished version. Be sure to make a backup of your AddOn and WTF folders before running Minion.

A HUGE congratulations to everyone who made this come together, especially Shirik! I just completed my first "update all" with minion and everything went perfectly. Maybe now the whole WM debacle can be laid to rest once and for all! HUZZAH!

Perhaps if it even held a light to WM's ease of use and simplicity. Not to mention if it even was able to detect true updates.

Some of them were noted as "Waiting for....." some other mod that is not in any way related to it. Nearly every addon it said needed an upgrade already had the newest to date version that it said it would install. There is no listing of the currently installed version (heck, even the curse client does that).

I understand this is supposed to be Beta, it should be listed as Alpha however as it is barely functional, and anyone who says this is the answer to WM....this is worse than the Curse client even.

Seriously, WoWI, you should get in touch with WM and work out a deal, it isn't too late. Your client won't even compare with Curse's (and you know my opinion of it). You need WM equally as much as they need you.

Its beta, it works great and near flawless for some and not so great for others. This is what the beta is for to find the bugs that will only crop up in the masses. This isn't a google beta, think of this as a MMO beta where there are real bugs still present.

WM when installed new with no dat files lists almost all addons as needing an update at least when it was pulling from curse/wowi as there is no other way to detect children. It would even mark new versions as needing updates and update them with old versions. WM has had a lot of time to mature. Our MMOUI Minion will be better when given the time.

WM doesn't want to talk to us either but this is for one of the many other threads.

Yeah, yeah. I know... The Masons, the Illuminati and possibly the Bildabergers have taken over WoWI (most likely with help from men in black and Majestik12) and are secretly plotting to keep you from easily updating your addons... Guess my dream of the controversy being over was short lived, huh?

One quick question about version checking: does it compare version from toc file
(which will avoid "upgrading" to previous version if i have newer one from other source)
or should i take a close look first at what would be updated to which version and ignore such addons?

Wrong size, I know. But I got this by just right-clickin and saving the image.

Great work to everyone involved with this project so far no bugs. Ill keep you updated if I manage to force one into being.

Only one thing I noticed I use the Dev version of nUI and the Minion downloaded the lite version of it. >_<

I can't get mine working. When I try to install it I get an error message:

java.io.IOException: Cannot run program: "filepath.exe": CreateProcess error = 14001

Something about an application configuration is incorret. Suggests to reinstall the application.

I downloaded and told FF to run the java installer.

Any help would be wonderful as I have been very eager to try this out. If you need more information please let me know what to add.

So far so Excellent! Found all of my addons except one but I found that through the search and updated just fine. Much better than the Curse updater( curse only updated half of my addons where as minion updated them all). Very easy to install. I think i'm in love!
