Ice hud also has a threat bar that i like until nui gets the hud threat bar back
Hey, how did you get your nUI to look like it does in the screenshot? That looks really really cool, haha.

well i have other mods loaded for some of the functionality, i use icehud for the hud and have the optional skin mod for nui loaded that gives it that look.
if you cant find it let me know, you should be able to look back a couple pages on these forums to find the optional skins that spiel has made for us to enjoy.

I must say, Icehud is brilliant to use with nUi. I was a bit worried about using it as i thought it would mess up the unit frames, but after changing the hud.lua, works flawlessly

I would like to caution folks about jumping to IceHUD -- it's not that you can't use it with nUI, it just that there's a lot of functionality you will lose in doing so...
  • player casting bar with latency and global cooldown
  • player's current spells on the target and their time remaining
  • player and pet debuffs
  • target buffs
  • the health race bar
  • the soon to be added back threat meter bar
  • the aura cooldown bar also soon to be added back
I'm not saying not ot use IceHUD, just realize that there's a tradeoff.

Hey Scott, no to contradict what u said, but Icehud does have a threat bar (with and option to have text showing % of threat on target), just not one like in nUI. It does have a cast bar with latency highlighting, it does track debuff's on the target, again not to the extent that nUI does.

I think the most appealing thing about Icehud, is it configurablilty. Able to adjust the bars, texture, information shown etc.

That is not a dig at your work, so please don't take it as such. Your work is great. But yeah the configurability (this weeks big word for me :P) is very appealing.

Oh donation will be sent on Friday (Australian Friday lol).

Is there any chance of being able to change ALL the bar textures in the near future. I am hanging to use the lite step texture (part of Libsharedmedia) with the Gloss Black interface.

Thanks for your hard work on this. It is absolutely brilliant and THE best UI i have ever used.

ok first off this is one hell of a UI, the main issue i have is the unit frames and the buff/debuff setup. i normally use CT_buff mod for my buffs, works for me and all that, the other is the PVP icon in the middle of my unitframes, and the strange tooltip placement, seems no matter what i do i can't seem to get Tiptac to hook them, for 1 thing its a tad annoying, any help would be great. but other than that i love this UI suite. thnks again.

You can move the tooltips anywhere you want... just use '/nui movers' to enabled dragging, put them where you want and use '/nui movers' again to lock them down.

The PvP icon is where it is because it's the one place you can put it that it isn't overlapping anything important.

As for (de)buffs... I can only do my best. You can always edit the unit frame skins and put them anywhere you want them.

Ok, first of all thats a great thing, the huge tooltip was always kind of disturbing in combat.
But what's about battles like the endboss in Gundrak where you turn into a skeleton and get new skills (or the zombie event pre wotlk)
Does that count as a shapeshift bar? You would be in an awkward position if you don't know what your spells are doing

Guess the bar on the vehicle frame is attached to the bliz action bar 1 bindings (which aren't assigned cause of nUI)

Aren't those buttons also on nUI's action bar when you're in the vehicle?

Hmmm... I don't have a vehicle quest I can test on atm -- I'll try and get my Lock to the Mammoth quest in Borean Tundra this evening so I can test it and sort out what's happening there.

Hmmm... that could be an issue. I suppose I could pay attention to which bar is active and if it's the possession talent bar (10 I think?) then not block the tooltips. Thanks for pointing that out.

For what it's worth... I just logged in on 4.04.00 and ran my lock through Borean Tundra until I got to the quest where you have to mount a woolly mammoth and kill Kaw the Mammoth Destroyer... that's a vehicle quest... and the nUI main action bar picked up the vehicle frame buttons and the key bindings did work.

I'm not sure what the issue is, or might have been, at this point. Were you using 4.04.00?

Post Conflict Issue with nUI and Carbonite

Hi,

I love your UI, I also love using the addon from www.carboniteaddon.com. However, there is a conflict with these two addons. When i open the world map, as long as i am viewing the territory i am in, i have zero issues, but as soon as i view another territory, i get a flicker. Its not a single flicker, but constant flicker that makes it nearly impossible to use. I will try to get either a screen shot or a small video clip to "visulize" what im talking about, if needed.

As a side note, is there a slash command to completely disable or remove the minimap button bag. As its a nice feature, it lately has become a hassle to always have to open the bag for my buttons, when in the first place i didnt have that many to begin with and its easier and faster for my buttons to be on the minimap.

Again, thanks for the awesome UI, and any help would be appreciated.

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere; I couldn't find it on the main addon page. Does nUI automatically configure your bars with spells/shortcuts like MazzleUI used to do?

If not, is that something that might appear in the future? Thanks.

No, nUI doesn't.

Spiel thinks that keybindings are a personal preference, so it's up to you to configure. He is, however, working on a much simpler way to bind keys.

Thanks for your reply. I agree they're personal, but once I got used to the ones in Mazzle, they made a lot more sense than anything I've tried. Also, I'd rather use weird ones than have to look at my spellbook for 30 mins for every toon each time I install the UI to make sure that I'm not missing any spells.

Well then im still confused. The old UI i was using was Dominos, and i did not have this problem with Dominos. Thats the only reason i assumed that it was an issue with nUI. But i will give the author of Carbonite a message and see if maybe they see something on there end that they could do. Well any further help is still appreciated

Total mana amount?

Is it possible to be able to see total mana amount together with the total health?
