Change docked location of combat log?

Is there a way to change the docked location of the combat log/Chat Frame 2? I have 7 chat windows docked together in a group and I would like the combat log to be the last window. In game it can apparently only be docked as the second window.

I have tried going into my chat-cache.txt and manually changing the docked order but no matter what it always goes back to normal!

An alternate fix would be if I could hide it completely without messing up MSBT and HitsMode (which is what I use for my combat log). I've tried hiding it via script in game but when hidden both of those addons no longer work (which makes sense).

I do not use the default combat log for anything at all and would really just like it out of my way.

Any guidance or solutions would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

That is because blizzard is hard coding ChatFrame2 to position 2 with the following line :

FCF_DockFrame(ChatFrame2, 2);

Addons could try and change this after the UPDATE_CHAT_WINDOWS event is triggered to adjust the settings that blizzard has put in place but it could call that function several times during the game session so a more repetitive function may be required to keep it from resetting to that position.

Ugh... I was hoping something like that wouldn't be the case.

Thanks a lot for the reply!
