Question Getting Addons to work with UI compilation?!

So, I have finally decided to get a new UI and do away with my ugly looking one so that it could be pretty AND efficient. I downloaded Omnus UI - http://www.wowinterface.com/download...8-OmnusUI.html - and got it working.
However, I have come across two problems so far:
1.) When I download mods and place them in my Interface folder, I can't get them working in the game.
2.) I can't see any damage or healing I do! Nothing pops up when I cast a spell, but they do work just fine. Just no pop ups.

HELP!

1. Are you certain you are installing them correctly? http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=14762

2. That UI uses Mik Scrolling Battle Text. Check your AddOns list at the character select screen - is it enabled? Do you get the UI when you type /msbt config in game?
