Trouble with AtlasLoot compatibility for items not in database
Bug #: 2908
File: Saeris's LootLink
Date: 12-29-06 07:09 PM
By: Gorhug
Status: Fixed
Using AtlasLoot Enhanced 2.00.01, items for which no data is in the database show a number for item name and give the following error message when moused over:

Code:
Interface\AddOns\LootLink\LootLink_Compatibility.lua:271: attempt to index global 'self' (a nil value)

got the same message while the mouse passed over the bullets in Lord Roccor's loot list. After closing and reopening AtlasLoot, several items appeared in english as "unsafe items". I could successfully recover their item descriptions by following the instructions.

I'm using:
_ WoW german version
_ LootLink 10660
_ AtlasLoot Enhanced 2.00.01

Full error message:
Message: ..\AddOns\LootLink\LootLink_Compatibility.lua line 271:
attempt to index global 'self' (a nil value)
Debug:
[C]: ?
LootLink\LootLink_Compatibility.lua:271: LootLink_SetTooltip()
AtlasLoot\Core\LootButtons.lua:58: AtlasLootItem_OnEnter()
[string "AtlasLootItem_5:OnEnter"]:2:
[string "AtlasLootItem_5:OnEnter"]:1

For some odd reason, I started getting a different error message recently on the same file and line.

attempt to index field 'GLOBAL_ENVIRONEMNT' (a nil value)

There is a misspelling there obviously, but correcting that doesn't remove the error though. Other thing that has changed is that items not in the database don't give errors now, they show the "right click for info" tooltip as they should. However, items that are in the database but not confirmed as seen on the server (generated from cached data) still show the same symptoms (error message about GLOBAL_ENVIRONMENT, item ID as name on AtlasLoot page).

I'm fairly sure I fixed this. If it still occurs, though, try updating to the beta version of AtlasLoot Enhanced, which should be labeled 2.01.00.
