PetAssist 1.04 gets error message of Unsupported AddOn when trying to Install
    Bug #: 5087
    File: PetAssist

    Status: Unconfirmed
Still having problems loading this AddOn. I tried to install the new version of PetAssist 1.04 and WowUI updater gives an error of Unsupported AddOn. I posted earlier about this addon not showing up in the addon list. You said to check and make sure that PetAssist.toc was in the PetAssist Folder and it is not. However, the zip file: 1225051582-PetAssist.zip is in the folder and when I look in the zip file there are six files in the zip folder:
PetAssist.lua dated 10/26/2008 no path set
PetAssist.toc dated 10/26/2008 no path set
    PetAssist.lua dated 9/27/2008 path PetAssis\
    PetAssistFrame.xml dated 7/24/2008 path PetAssist\
    PetAssistFramebak.xml dated 7/3/2008 path PetAssist\
    readme.txt dated 7/26/2008 path PetAssist\

The last 4 files are in the PetAssist directory and I looked in the AddOn root folder and I see:
PetAssist.lua dated 10/30/2008 (the day that I tried to install it orginally)
PetAssist.rar dated 11/3/2008 (the one that says it is unsupported)
    PetAssist.toc dated 10/30/2008

It appears that the above zip file needs to be corrected. I will temporarily rename that folder and do a new install to see if that corrects the problem.

I renamed the folder and tried to reinstall WowUI Updater said new version available 1.04 then when I click on Confirm I get the error message of Unsupported AddOn. And the file PetAssist.rar is created in the AddOn root folder. The file looks like a memory dump.
    Any clues?

Ok I have never used the WowUI updater so i will have to try this. I would suggest for now atleast just download it directly from the site and then extract the rar file into the folder directly and it should Work. I will look at WOWUI updater and try it on my end and see if I can get that corrected for you. Thanks for your help and feedback!

This issue seems to mostly be because the WOWUI updater dosent support .Rar files I will repack it as a ZIp and update it soon. I am just looking into another issue before I repack it.
