I've been using power auras to help with DOT clipping--I'll copy some examples below. Basically the aura is activated if my DOT has less then X amount of time--where X is the duration of 1 DOT tick; if the DOT has a cast time (ie Immolate or Vampiric Touch) to reapply I add that into "X".
This has been crucial in approaching 100% DOT up-time with out risking clipping more then one tick.
This works mostly OK; however, it would be awesome if there was a module to set this more precision. Ideally this module would calculate the exact duration of DOT ticks--since they can change from buffs. The Aura could have the option of activating with number of ticks conditional statement (similar to buff/debuff stacks) and also have an option to show a counter of # of ticks remaining.
