Stuf Unit Frames (and Raid)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.2.101
by: totalpackage, Uitat

Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

Notable Features:
  • Easy transition from Blizzard default frames
  • Cast bars for the main units
  • Dispellable debuff visual
  • Target and focus timer bars for your buffs/debuffs
  • Threat bars on target and focus
  • Shaman totem timers, Death Knight rune bars, and Druid mana bar
  • Low memory and CPU usage compared to popular unit frame mods
  • Customization similar to Discord Unit Frames
  • LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for textures and fonts
  • Ace3 dialog config is used for the options GUI
  • Stuf_Range - LibRangeCheck-2.0 support for estimated distance on target and focus
  • Clique support for click-casting
  • ClassColors custom class color and ConfigMode support for one-button-config
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icon skins (may be buggy)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

Sutff out of range opacity

Dono is thats the right way to comunicate with autors of addon but i hope they see this.
First of all ty for all your work verry well done addon that gives all you need flexibility design at low memory costs <3 <3

Now only 1 think i would point out that it misses: Out of range opacity that apply's to not friendly ( enemy)target unitframes. Addon has this option inbuild for friendly units/players but sadly not for mobs. It would be verry helpfull to have it inbuild so that for example i know if im out of range from my target or focus etc via unitframes.

If it exists pls let me know how to set this option

ty verry much!

Hey, I have a question. I was wondering if anyone could show me how to separate the Health and Power bars, so that it looks something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Just checked all possible bar configurations and instead of posting 30+ screenshots, I'll just tell you the details:
* Most bar configurations "worked". I have that in quotes because none of the incoming healing bars were sized correctly. They were all 1px slivers of green incoming healing as opposed to an incoming healing bar that was ~25% of my health frame (since the toon was low level and the heal was relatively powerful). I'd imagine your incoming healing bar should look somewhat similar to Blizz's, but right now I cannot find a configuration of options to make the incoming healing bar look even remotely like the correct size.

* Some options were reluctant to even show the incoming healing sliver bar. I would have to pre-cast ~5 heals over and over in order to get a sliver to show even once. The configurations that would do this are:
** Everything checked (Vertical Orientation, Fill on Loss, Show Incoming Heals, Reverse Direction, Full Value If Inactive)
** Everything checked except "Reverse Direction"
** Everything checked except "Reverse Direction" and "Vertical Orientation"

* When everything was checked except "Reverse Direction" and "Fill on Loss", I was unable to produce any semblance of an incoming healing bar.

Those are the results of my testing. If you'd like more data, some screenshots, or a video, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Thanks!

For the player frame, the option is shown in the mana bar category. Make sure the 5s rule tick is not disabled and the spark color is visible.

Hello.

I'm interested in getting the text frame displaying health to display a decimal as well. For example, 87.2 instead of just 87. I know this isn't available through the info tags and I'm not well versed in lua.

Is this easily possible or has anyone done it already?

you can "replace" the original blizz textures like i did on
http://www.wowinterface.com/download...uresLeila.html
if you want to use mine - (same as blizzards but in gray) download and put the "GROUPFRAME" into your interface folder

Hello. First of all, I want to thank you for your great addon, it really emphasis creativity. I was able to make very beautifull unit frames with it.

Though I have a little issue with the raid frame. I am unable to right clic on any bars.

Tested with no other addon activated, tested with default settings. I tested this on 2 computers.

Do you have any idea how to fix this, please ?

So I sat down for a while today and tried to figure this out.

REPRO STEPS:
* I went on a low-level alt with 0 addons and enabled StufRaid ONLY
* Reset all StufRaid settings to factory default
* As you can see in the screenshots below, the only settings I changed were:
** Removed power bar for ease of viewing
** Made frame width/height 100x100, made health bar width/height 100x100 for ease of viewing
** Unchecked "Vertical Orientation", "Reverse Direction", and "Fill on Loss"
* Showed Blizz default raid frames next to StufRaid frames as comparison (Blizz default raid frames has Incoming Heals on)
* Jumped off a high location to lose health, then began healing myself to demonstrate incoming heal problem. See screenshots

If, for whatever reason, those images don't show up, you can follow these links:

http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...511_091928.jpg

Thanks for your continued support, Total!

EDIT: I meant to add one thing: in the fifth screenshot, you can see a SLIVER of Incoming Heal Bar on the StufRaid frame. This leads me to believe that it's kinda-sorta working, but not reliably and also not as it should be (the incoming heal bar should be roughly the size of the incoming heal bar on the blizz frames).

EDIT2: I guess I wasn't clear, but the LOWER two frames are Blizzard Default Raid Frames, and the two upper frames are from StufRaid.

That's probably the culprit. Although I must admit I have never seen such a configuration option in the RAID frames (normal unitframe shows incoming healing perfectly and I know where to configure that). I will do the homework and see if I can find out where to configure that. Thanks a lot!
