DoubleWide  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.7-30000
by: Iriel [More]

This is a simple AddOn for a simple idea -- pull the quest log into side-by-side areas so it's double wide instead of cramping the size of the quest list.

Original conception, and graphics by Kudane.

0.7 - Updated for WoW 3.0 and properly supports an empty quest log

Any chance of getting this updated to play nice with 2.3? It's creating all sorts of taint errors now.

This is a fantastic addon, and works with other quest log addons too. But one thing is disturbing me. I would like to have option to change alpha/background alpha on quest log, it takes my whole screen so its hard to travel while looking your quest log.

Hello Iriel. I use this add on in conjunction with Lightheaded and very much like the combination with one exception. As I had already previously posted in Lightheaded and post it here.

One slight annoyance using this mod. I typically open quest log to see what is available and at the same time I would been able to open the macro window to type in a LFG macro for LFG channel or local chat the title of the quests. But now with the double wide the macro closes and I have to shuttle back and forth between the macro window and quest log to type in the titles. Is there a way to move the quest log window or temp close the double wide window so I could keep both macro and quest log open?

So my question would be is there way to move the window or is there a toggle to temp close the doublewide so I can open the macro and quest log at the same time or is it you can add this feature?

Thats not the point of this mod. This is simply a mod to arrange the built-in quest journal side by side.

If you wish to have all the wizbangs, colors, side notes, waypoint tracking, etc etc... there are some other mods that do all that. QuestIon is one that comes to mind...

I love this mod for its simplicty... it does what its meant to do, no more fluff. Not to mention it so far appears to work with every other quest mod I've tested out. Well done.

Also, by editing the TOC file to have 20200 for the Interface setting, this loads fine with WoW 2.2.0.

Broken

For some reason I hear great things about this mod but it will not work for me is there something special I am supposed to be doing when moving the download to my addons folder? Disregard this I got rid of Cosmos and this and lightheaded now work fantastically.

The enhancement works great! May I make a couple small enhancement requests?

1) Could the 'Share Quest" button be placed adjacent to the 'Accept Quest' button rather than next to the 'Exit' button?

2) Is it possible to make the height of the Quest Book adjustable? I may wish to extend it downwards. (It is as wide as I'd like. Thank you for that!)

Skinner works perfectly fine on my setup. Make sure you are using the most current versions of your mods. Skinner is updated nearly everyday, so be sure to replace the skin files to see any of the changes.

Those errors dont come from DoubleWide, do you have any other quest AddOns installed?
