But I'll see about adding your suggestion into the next release. In the meantime, there's no need to avoid upgrading. I removed the buggy version from the site as soon as I saw it had problems. In the lifetime of this addon and almost 100 releases, I've only had to do that one other time.

Haven't needed the new (formerly buggy) special alert fine tuning, so haven't updated to v4.12.2. As is typical with mods that (unnecessarily) do this, there is no indication in the options or otherwise that it (unnecessarily) communicates/clogs up the hidden addon comm channel with these update alerts. Some people don't like or need to be reminded of updates behind their back. Others don't want another mod using up their limited bandwidth. And so on. Deadly Boss Mods (DBM)--the most popular mod download--allows users to disable its own comm version checking in its options. Think you could add such an option for users to disable (or enable) the GTFO version checking?

Yes ive removed configs deleted addon re installed it and everything. going back to older vetion while waiting for this to hopefully be fixed. Zidomo A Cliff Giant   Forum posts: 76 File comments: 1057 Uploads: 0	Installed v4.12 (upgraded from v4.11.5) before a LFR "raid" today (Wyrmrest). None of the new (or old) options were changed. On Hagara trash, had a WoW crash. Unlike nearly all that I've ever experienced here, it was not a "Not enough storage is available to process this command" one. Instead, it was a "Fatal exception!" one (didn't list the Current Addon) in the crash txt file). Why am I telling you this?
