Non nUI slash commands

Weirdest thing... there were a couple of times tonight that I needed to do a slash command and it wouldn't execute, wouldn't even show in the chat window. Earlier I was able to do /macro... but in ICC I couldn't do /range and /recount toggle or /recount show.

nUI is the latest new addon I have, so I logged out and disabled it. Both commands worked fine then.

I'm old, so tell me very slowly... how should I troubleshoot this quirky behavior?

Was Recount being displayed when you were trying to do the command or was the Recount info panel hidden? I don't know if the command will work if the info panel is hidden.

The Recount/Omen windows were showing in the lower right. Like I said, I'm old, so I wanted to see Recount bigger. That's why I wanted the window to open up... I was thinking it would open in the middle of the screen.

But why didn't my /range command work in ICC?

I think I've always used the dbm /range command and not the recount one. But if the frame it calls up is parented to the one we parent it may cause problems perhaps.

Did I explain it wrong?

One incident was trying to do the /range command... I didn't realize it was a dbm command... when I wanted to stay 12 feet away from other players.

The next incident was at the end of the run, I wanted to see the Recount window in the center of the screen instead of the tiny-sized one grouped with the Omen window.

It was two separate commands to do different things. Neither worked until I disabled nUI.

Oh good grief. I also thought I was having problems with DBM. When you mentioned it, I just checked my addons and it was off! Now the /range command works just fine.

/recount , /recount show or /recount toggle still don't work to show the main Recount window.
