If you mean the buffs at the far left over the chat frame, and the debuffs at the far right over the Info panel, I don't recall that being possible save for editing the appropriate .Lua file. There's a very big chance that editing those out of the UI may break it too. Someone else will have to chime in to be sure, but that's what I remember reading.

Vis is correct... you would have to edit the skin files for the unit frames and remove the reference to the ["Aura"] sections in the player, target, pet and vehicle frames as well as one of the ["Label"] elements in each of those files. Removing all of the auras will also break the HOT/DOT bar and could have some other unintended consequences.

As a rule, I do not support removing features that are built into nUI so they can be replaced with the same features in another mod. So please be aware that while this can be done, it will have side effects and all bets are off that everything works like it is supposed to.

Typing /nui maxauras 0 will cause NUI to display 0 buffs/debuffs, which is a pretty effective way of making sure they don't get in the way.

Sorry, man, I love NUI, but DoTimers is way better at keeping track of my buffs/debuffs.

That's not going to happen. It goes against everything nUI was created for.

I use Bagnon and it works just fine with the bag bar.

Edit: Had to find these as they might be useful to you:
/nui bagbar {on|off|mouseover}
/nui onebag (this toggles the bagbar to just one backpack)

Killer I never thought to just type 0... That's my only issue I have with nUI is the buff locations and size (both styles).

Only thing is it doesn't remove the name plates...

If you use the aura plugin it converts the auras into buttons so that /maxauras 0 will fully remove them as no heading exists.

Some people just have a slightly different visual preference. As great as nUI is, I think I'm safe in saying that it's nearly impossible for Scott to make it absolutely, perfectly, 100% aesthetically pleasing to everyone's differing tastes.

I have to give him kudos for trying his damdest though.
