nUI Raidsort

I'm not sure what the issue is. I type /nui raidsort group so it sorts by group and it doesn't do anything. I've tried /nui raidsort {group} and it says: nUI: [ {group} ] is not a valid raid sorting option please choose from either 'unit', 'group', or 'class'

What am I doing wrong? It really throws me off when i'm assigned to heal a group and half of them are on one side half are on the other.

The only addons I use are nUI, DBM, Recount, Omen, and CT raid tracker. I deleted my WTF folder and tried again but still no go.

The raid groups as far as I know always went across the screen rather than down unless Scott changed them while I wasn't looking. However, if I remember rightly, blizzard did some snazzy thing that auto arranged it whenever the raid/party etc changed but didn't let addons do the same due to combat secure frames relatedness.

This is how they are now. I added numbers to make it more clear. What I was assuming sorting by group/class/unit would do it make it so half of group 1 isn't on the other side of my screen. so it's like group 1 all in the same section, group 2 all in the same section, group 3 all in the same section, group 4 all in the same section, and group 5 all in the same section.

Am I just mistaken on how the sorting is supposed to work? Or is it because of the way blizzard changed their raid group unit frames?

Sorry for all the extra white btw. <,< i just did it rq in paint.

At present, nUI's raid frames cannot sort while you are in combat, so that *could* be the issue. Otherwise, if you can't get them to sort even out of combat, then it could be a new taint bug.

Could you do a screenshot of a raid setting at least mostly full but staying out of combat ? That should give you an idea of what the sorting is like initially. Then try the different sorting methods and do a screen shot again to see the effect. As Scott said, in combat, which your screenshot shows, would cause problems so party/player order within the raid will not be as you expect due to that combat issue we mentioned.

Attach the screenshots to your next post, especially if you are seeing things not working the way you expect, and we can see if it is working the way Scott designed it to be or not.

Updated nUI, to the newest version, hadn't done that yet.

Nothing changed for each sorting command. =(

Out of combat for at least 3 minutes between trying to switch sorting modes.

Btw, Great addon. I love nUI it's awesome ^o^ thanks for the help!

Hmm, yeah looks like it's not quite doing what it is supposed to but is almost in group sort mode but not quite there either .. At least it is something to help Scott figure it out.

Also... it *really* helps if you don't upload you images to another site and then embed them in your messages... just click the paperclip icon in the message editor or scroll down the message editor page to the "Manage Attachments" button and attach your images directly to the message... that way I can work with the images easily, zoom them, etc. They're often very hard to see when in the message bodies.

That all said, it does appear that your sort is not functioning as intended (again) -- so I'll have a look at it and see what I see.

Preferably, yes... it's much easier for me to view and manipulate the images that way.
