Couple questions

Hello,
I have been using the NUI for a while now, and I love it. I do however, have a few questions.

1) Is there a way to move my Rogue combo points? And not as important, but make them a touch bigger? Due to the placement of NUI they sit under ALL DBM warnings. Also I am used to having them at the bottom of my screen. Any advice on moving them?

2) Is there a means for chat time stamps that does not cause UI errors with NUI?

3) I am unsure if this is an error in NUI, Gatherer, or a combonation of the two, and since this is a new comp, I cant just roll back my UI. I am getting transparencies of mining nodes on the ground in my normal non map UI. I do have a help request in with Gatherer as well. Has anyone seen this before? Im assuming its not NUI, but since that is the other completely new thing im running, im asking.

The only way you would be able to do that is to edit the [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > HUDLayouts > {hud mode} > nUI_HUDSkin_{hud mode}_Target.lua ] file and locate the ["ComboPoints"] section. You can then change the values of xOfs and yOfs to move the combo points bar left/right or up/down.

You do know that's combo points on the target unit frame as wel,, yes? And you can move the location of the DBM warnings, as well.

The whole idea of the nUI design is to get your eyes AWAY from the bottom of the screen and directly on the field of combat which is why the combo points are located right at your feet so you can see them without having to take your eyes off the action in the center of the screen.

Quite a few nUI users also use Prat or Chatter.

That would not be an nUI issue... it may be an artifact from another addon. I would suggest you try doing a clean install of nUI if you have not already. Instructions for that can be found here: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=21716

OK, I will look into those options, thanks. As far as where I normally have my combo points, I used to use IceHud, and a seperate plug for it that allowed me to move my combos, I just usually set it towards the bottom of the HUD, right beneathe my toons feet, not at the bottom of the screen, just for clarification.

But thanks, and as always, very helpfull.

Since I am about 95% sure the third issue I asked about was Gatherer, do you now any mods that are compatible with NUI that allows for map marks for mining nodes, that is also sharable in guild?

I don't know. I think some people use Carbonite for that and that may be guild shareable. I used to use Gathermate but just for my own use so never really tried doing any sharing of data with it if it was even possible.

Gathermate is a great alternative to Gatherer. And last I knew as well, the database was not shareable. It was consistently updated as a separate component to Gathermate though on Curse.

The nice thing with a downloadable separate database is that it takes zero time to install as opposed to sharing Gatherer's data in game. I did that a few times whilst using Gatherer and it seemed to take forever.

I use Gathermate and swear by it. The only thing that Gatherer has that Gathermate does not is the hud, which I have no need for. I love gathermate and would recommend it to anyone.

RE: the Gatherer artifacts

I sounds like you have your Gatherer HUD display turned on. This display is for when you're farming stuff. If that's the case, you can turn it off in the regular WoW Interface/Addons/Gatherer menu by unchecking the box.
