Rare elite range tracking add on

I'm looking for an add on (or for someone to make one :P) to tell me if there are any rare elites anywhere near me. It could work like a range checker and look to see if you are in range of x mob if you're in y zone. There's nothing on screen, but then if it catches something, a little box will pop up telling you the range it is from you. This would allow you to home in on it also as if the range is getting bigger, you're obviously going the wrong way from it. Is there something like this out there or able to be made?

the only way you can get the range you are from a mob is by targeting it so this is not possible.

Might want to check out ESN Rare. It won't tell you the range, but it does some other nifty stuff.
