Dressing Room issue

Hi all, was wondering if anyone could help.

Just installed nUI+ and really getting on with it, albeit for one thing - I can no longer ctrl+left click on an item in my bag/quest reward/drop etc to see what it would look like on my toon... but I can get to it via Atlasloot.

So it's not like the function isn't there. Any advice??

I'm not sure that nUI has anything to do with that command. If you turn off all other addons and just have nUI turned on, does the issue still happen? What version of nUI are you using?

I've not noticed not being able to do this recently but will check again when I log in later on. Admittedly I haven't used that ability much but when I have it has worked with no problems.

But then again that has been while looking at a vendor. If it is in my inventory I have just equipped it if I want it or send it to my Enchanter to disenchant.

And using atlasloot I haven't been able to do that from memory. But then again I don't usually go for the looks of an item but whether it is useful .. rofl.

Does it definitely work in blizzard default ?

As others have noted here, nUI does not interact with the dressing room or your inventory buttons, so I doubt nUI is the culprit here unless there's a key binding issue there somewhere. To the best of my knowledge, the function does work (I use it myself, and don't remember it ever not working)

Yeah I didn't think nUI was the culprit, but it just must be a conflict with some other addon's... There must be something broken with the Blizz options somewhere. That's going to be fun trying to narrow it down. I'll check it and get back to you.

For starters, I would try disabling *all* of your mods except nUI and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then you can start enabling again until the problem comes back, then we'll know which mod is causing the conflict and we can go from there. If it doesn't work with all of your mods disabled, try disabling nUI, too... does it work now? If not, then start looking at your Blizz options.

OK, just disabled all the mods including nUI. Think it's broke. Even with the blizz UI i still can't ctrl click to see an item. I tried looking through the blizz options/key bindings last nite but couldn't see anything specific. Don't know if it's me just being me and completely missing the point.

Try exiting WoW and renaming your WTF folder to WTF.saved then logging back in. You will have to set up your video and audio preferences again, but it may well fix the problem.

Could repairing the client be an option?

Maybe... first make sure that WoW created a new WTF folder in the directory where you renamed the old one. If not, you may have been in the wrong directory.

If it did create then you might consider doing a client repair including the option to reset all settings to default. It'll mean a little work setting your keybindings and all back up, but... yeah.

Just checked and it did create a new WTF folder. Blizzare (see what I did there lol - sorry

). Looks like it's going to be a client repair :'(

Urgh .. client repair .. icky .. when I was having problems .. a client repair involved it saying too many problems reverting back to ... wait for it ... 3.0 .. rofl then all those big darn patches we've had since. Hours later .. finally back in game .. rofl.

Its all sorted now. Would you believe.... /resetchat and reet bindings (non character specific) sorted it. Always the simple things. Thx for your help though
