help with hud

how do i turn it off,i tried the following command that i found in the documentation

"/nui hud idlealpha 0"

and it didnt work, what am i doin wrong

There is a red button at the top that shows what hud to display. No Hud will remove the hud from view until you need it. But be warned that you won't see your debuffs or your targets buffs or debuffs if you do so. Simple Hud will remove the health/power bars but keep the buffs/debuffs.
