nUI -- A full feature standalone UI replacement

First off all, thx for this great UI, even when its not finished its allready the best I had so far.

A few questions:

*When I log in to my warrior, and the window is not yet maximized the performance stats are there next to character info. But when I maximize the window, there gone...
*My Stance bar is half in the Nr 1 action bar, i can't find how to move that bar a bit upwards.
*If I install omen 3 in addons, and just place it (for now) somewhere in the window, would that interfere or create errors?

My questions are probably very noobish, but it all seems so mutch at first, I perhaps looked over it...

I have put resolution on 1680x 1050, -> Nui rl and performance and stance bar works great...

But wasn't there a colour bar for selecting the guild/party/say/... chat. I don't see that on my screen.

And thanks for the email I just received. Now I can raid without worrying if my UI will work. I just installed it and tested it out and it seems to not give any initial problems, so I'm happy. Looking forward to testing it out a bit more tonight.

As a side note, as per usual, Spiels "Alpha" code is "Beta" quality, maybe even better. No major issues at all (IMHO).

Is there a sort of a feedback system for damage and healing, to show how much dmg was dealt, or healing was taken/received? I looked now, but cannot see anything. Did I miss it, or is it not included?

Sorry, and I need to ask another question.

I'm using a mac, and I play in windowed mode. However, I sometimes swap to full screen while in game, just for a little bit of extra fps when doing heavy aoe.

However, when doing that, I get this (look at screenshot).

Then, second (probably) really stupid question... Why does some of the spells in my action bars have this little white dot in the top left corner and others not? What's the difference? See screenshot 2.

Im having that with my mac too, i just do a /rl or /nui rl and its all works again.
If you check your chatlog you get multiple errors.

I just donated, hope it works out with all the donations. Great UI! I tried building something myself but after Nui it all feels so amateur whatever I'm trying.

PS: those dots I think is when you are in range, because when I'm not in range those dots are red... correct me when wrong.

I think the dots are related to keybinding. For me they seem to only show up when I don't have any key bound to the button. When I bind a key, they are replaced by the key binding text.

i have noticed that with nUI enabled, the achievement tracking window has disappered.

I have loaded the most recent beta version of NUI, and when I go into WOW I see the frame, but I see no action bars. What has happened and how can I correct?

Jwc10s -- did you download the version that's on this web site (nUI Beta 2)? If so, that version is out of date and incompatible with the latest WoW patch. nUI Beta 3 is current in its closed test period among nUI supporters and language translators only and not yet available for download.

I anticipate that Beta 3 will be made available for public download this coming Saturday.

I'm not sure what you mean by performance bar... are you referring to the system performance (frame rate and latency) or something else?

No... installing Omen3 will not cause any problems at all.

There is not a bar for selecting the chat type (guild, party, etc.) built into nUI though that is something on my to-do list. What you have seen in some other people's screencaps is a third party mod and for the life of me I can't think of the name of it at the moment.

At this time it is coded for, but not enabled in the release. It will be soon. In the meantime, I recommend using SCT (Scrolling Combat Text) -- it's an excellent mod and compatible with nUI.

This is a known bug in Bliz's code that affects a great many mods, most often those that use custom textures (as does nUI) -- it's very random as to which mods it does and does not impact and even defeats truly trivial mods. I had hoped Bliz would fix it in the 3.0 patch, but they have not.

There is no workaround for it... it relates to certain video cards and graphics drivers and occurs most frequently on Macs (though by no means exclusively... I have the problem on my Dell XPS laptop). The only solution is to (a) avoid switching between windowed and non-windowed modes and (b) when you do, use '/nui rl' to refresh your screen.

And, yes, the dots next to some spells means either (a) there was no keybinding for them, or, (b) the keybinding could not be determined at the time of the update -- this can be caused by being in combat when the buttons get painted for the first time and a few other conditions.
